History of the company

1948 - After the World War II ŘEMPO – ŘEMESELNÍCKE POTŘEBY – Craftsmen supplies, were established as a state owned company, a wholesale distribution base designed for trading and supplying the market with protective working equipment, textiles, leather goods, technical materials, plastic products etc. and so provide goods and materials for general public, cooperative societies, subsidiary enterprises, workshops, concerns and institutions.

1990 - After the federalisation of Czechoslovakia the company was devided into two independent entities, REMPO Prague and REMPO Bratislava.

1995 - REMPO became a private company through a direct purchase by FNM (National Property Fund) and September 2 established as a follower and successor or above mentioned enterprises, aimed at a wholesale and specific retail business.

1997 - The first and unique retail supermarket in Slovakia with protective working apparel and tools opened at the area of over 1200 m2 .

2001 - The company is transformed into two independent entities, the commission trade department becomes an independent legal subject, and uses its original title of the wholesale company REMPO, ltd.

2003 - The original logo as well as the trade mark of REMPO was recognized.

2010 - A distribution depot opened in Banska Bystrica.

2013 - A new supermarket covering over 2380 m2 opened in Bratislava, with an extended assortment of protective equipment, cleaning agents, tools, technical fabrics, ropes, cords, plastic products, plastics and much more, having over 4500 items on offer.
